Connie - Back and Intact
05 16
“On April 7, 2013 I stopped breathing. I was oxygen deprived for over 20 minutes before life support could be put into place. I was on life support for five days in a coma. I was clinically dead, the doctors said. I am an anomaly to have come back and so cognitively clear. However, it did impact me physically, as I am now walking with a cane.
“I find the things that you write very insightful and inspiring. I am amazed that my cognition is this good or even intact. I do know about ‘cerebral hypoxia’ in what anything over seven minutes can do to the brain. It’s been a long road of recovery for me both psychologically and physically. It feels so good to connect to others that have had this experience, very helpful for me. I just wanted to say thank you for all the good work you do. “
